PENSACOLA, Fla. -- The Florida School Boards Association voted unanimously to withdraw from the National School Boards Association.

The vote happened Tuesday at a conference in Tampa.

Channel 3 spoke to Escambia County School Board Member Kevin Adams and Okaloosa County School Board Chairman Tim Bryant for confirmation on Tuesday's vote.

Tim Bryant told Channel 3 that the NBSA was not listening to its constituents. He says he supports the decision "whole-heartedly."

“FSBA already has a federal group together that we can reach out to them, lobbyist and if we have questions or anything like that," Bryant said.
