REPORT: Trump Allegedly Offered to Pardon Julian Assange in Exchange for Cooperation, Attorneys Claim

This article seems to have received some unexpected attention since its publication. Apparently, some people believed the information was somehow offensive because the narrative was similar to one they heard in other mainstream reports. In this case, let's clarify a few points.

The DTM website exists to report news and to offer alternative perspectives thereto. If any news-worthy situation arises, my goal and the goal of this website is to record the evidence in order to get to the truth. (It should also be stated that the emotional state of any given reader as they evaluate this information rest solely upon them.)

In my experience, it can be counterproductive to simply dismiss information to the hyper-simplistic categories of true or false. This is because even in lies and fictional representations, there is still value.

The most valuable information is often missed by those who expect easy answers.

These principles have been stated numerous times in the past here on DTM and the DTM Facebook page; however, it's understandable if some people are new to the site and are not yet accustomed to this type of in-depth brainstorming. Consequently, these individuals may still attempt to evaluate news reports apathetically without actively engaging themselves to learn the underlying truth within them.

In this case, I would encourage all readers to think beyond the mere conditions of true and false and learn to seek out the value of any given message beyond the efforts of the average MSM report. Look for patterns of behavior and repeated narratives which can reveal the various agendas of any parties in question.

Think about possible motives behind any given report and consider who or what organization may benefit from the story as it is reported. These are just a few practices that will help us engage the topics we read instead of simply dismissing them on a whim. After all, we can't expect to find accurate truth if we maintain the habits we had while we were living a lie.

For all of those who desire to see the reason behind the below post and the significance of this story despite its partial inaccuracy/incompleteness (or anyone, for that matter), click here. For those who believe they are able to see the inherent value in a story even though it may contain certain falsehoods, read on and enjoy.

LONDON, (Reuters) – President Donald Trump offered to pardon WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange if he said that Russia had nothing to do with WikiLeaks’ publication of Democratic Party emails in 2016, a London court heard on Wednesday.

Assange appeared by videolink from prison as lawyers discussed the management of his hearing next week to decide whether he should be extradited to the United States.

At Westminster Magistrates’ Court, Assange‘s barrister, Edward Fitzgerald, referred to a witness statement by former Republican congressman Dana Rohrabacher who had visited Assange in 2017, saying that he had been sent by the president to offer a pardon.

The pardon would come on the condition that Assange complied with the U.S. by saying that the Russians were not involved in the email leak which hurt Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign in 2016, Rohrabacher’s statement said.

Assange, 48, who spent seven years holed up in Ecuador’s embassy before he was dragged out last April, is wanted in the United States to face 18 counts including conspiring to hack government computers and violating an espionage law. He could spend decades behind bars if convicted there.

Almost a decade after his WikiLeaks website enraged Washington by leaking secret U.S. documents, Woolwich Crown Court in London will begin hearings on Monday – with Assange present in person – to decide whether he should be sent to the United States.

At Wednesday’s hearing, Assange spoke only to confirm his name and date of birth.

He appeared relaxed and spent much of the hearing reading notes in his lap. He wore two pairs of glasses: one on top of his head and another which he took on and off and twiddled in his hands.

Australian-born Assange made global headlines in early 2010 when WikiLeaks published a classified U.S. military video showing a 2007 attack by Apache helicopters in Baghdad that killed a dozen people, including two Reuters news staff.

WikiLeaks later angered the United States by publishing caches of leaked military documents and diplomatic cables.

The full extradition hearing will be split in two parts, with the second half delayed until May.

Some of us may remember this telling interview with Julian Assange and Nieuwsuur News which first suggested the death of Seth Rich was actually linked to his possible cooperation with Wikileaks. The rumors surrounding Rich's death maintain that the source of the original DNC leak was, in fact, Rich who may have outed the numerous nefarious activities of the DNC prior to and during the 2016 election.

Though this interviewer does not seem to be very professional in his treatment of the interviewee (Assange), the conversation does suggest that Seth Rich was murdered by interests connected to the DNC as retribution for his betrayal of their (allegedly) criminal organization.
