The subject of the allegations of wiretapping of Trump Tower by former President Obama prior to the presidential election is a major topic in recent news. Corporate media typically makes light of such claims by current President Donald Trump with the apparent assumption that these claims would not hold up to investigation. It is understandable, considering the overly vocal tweeting which Trump has become known for, that the media might refrain from taking the accusation of wiretapping seriously. But could there be something more to this story than we have seen?
At present, the corporate media message we have observed is that Donald Trump and his administration are the only evil that has ever existed in the world. At the same time, the previous administration is portrayed as upright and beyond reproach. Considering the fact that no real-life situation is as simple as this representation, we may make a number of observations from this one.

It is clear that a media bias is currently driving the rhetoric of corporate news at present. While the corporate media attempts to smear the image of the current president in virtually every way, a number of alternative sources are making the effort to balance the situation. The free media has been publishing a number of positive developments in recent times following Trump's election. Though there are significant negatives to consider, as in any situation, there are productive developments taking place as well.
When we hear the corporate version of Trump's allegations of wiretapping, the typical corporate spin is clear. The message is that Trump has no clue what he is talking about and there is no point in listening to anything that he says. This distorted message does not seem to be motivated by any of the actual problems Trump has recently caused (as these problems are rarely emphasized by corporate media). Instead it seems that such messages are based not upon hard facts, but on fear. It is as though there is an attempt by certain business interests to maintain the former establishment and to dismiss the current one before anyone has a chance to consider the repercussions. Consequently, when we hear the story of these allegations of wiretapping, we can rest assured, there is more to the situation than the corporate media appears willing to divulge.

Report - Over 12,000 Tweets Call for Trump’s Assassination - Further Signs of Astroturf, or a Cold and Heartless American Population?
As an amusing aside, the WSJ adds that the rift is distancing Mr. Trump from a former two-term president "who had offered to give private advice and counsel as the onetime businessman settles into his first job in public office." Of course, if Trump is correct and Obama did in fact order a wiretap of the Trump Tower, Obama was actively seeking to impair the Trump campaign and chances for presidency, so that statement may seem a little suspect in retrospect.
Accuracy of the report notwithstanding, it is obvious that the bad blood between the two people has grown to unprecedented levels: Douglas Brinkley, a presidential historian, said the open friction has upended tradition, an “almost unwritten rule that you treat your predecessor with a degree of grace and decorum.”
“There are these kinds of things that have happened in the past, but nothing to the degree where a sitting president would charge his predecessor with a felony,” Mr. Brinkley said. “It creates a feeling of instability in the United States.”

Whether real or imagine, Trump and other White House officials believe that Obama loyalists sprinkled throughout the federal bureaucracy are behind leaks that are damaging his personnel, White House officials said. A spokesman for Mr. Obama wouldn’t comment to the WSJ on the claim. In fact, as NewsMax CEO Christopher Ruddy, a friend of Mr. Trump who sees him on weekends at the president’s Mar-a-Lago, said in an interview: “From what I’m hearing, Trump’s people think Obama is at war with them.”
“This president has been under siege since Day One from both the press and Obama loyalists and he’s reacting to it,” Mr. Ruddy said. “I don’t think there’s any doubt that Obama loyalists inside the administration and outside are giving Donald Trump a lot of grief and a lot of problems.”
As is well-known by now, the animosity between Trump and Obama hit a climax last weekend, when Trump responded to recent allegations of ties to Russia by tweeting “How low has President Obama gone to tapp my phones during the very sacred election process. This is Nixon/Watergate. Bad (or sick) guy!”

Keeping a low profile in post-presidency, Obama - who is currently writing a book for which he will receive tens of millions in proceeds - had decided he wouldn’t respond to every intemperate Trump tweet, an aide said. "But he was livid over the accusation that he bugged the Republican campaign offices, believing that Mr. Trump was questioning both the integrity of the office of the president and Mr. Obama himself, people familiar with his thinking said."
Ironically, as the WSJ adds, Obama had been critical of leaks when he was president, specifically those related to the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s probe into the email use of Mrs. Clinton, his former secretary of state. “He was very quick to condemn it then and obviously his silence now is notable,” one White House official said Tuesday. Obama, in an interview with the mobile news outlet NowThis News just days before the November election, said that when it comes to investigations “we don’t operate on innuendo, we don’t operate on incomplete information, we don’t operate on leaks—we operate based on concrete decisions that are made.”

This rather objective report from Zero Hedge gives the details of the situation in a fair tone. This is somewhat refreshing in comparison to the typical drama-based reporting of corporate news. The clear bias which the corporate media has maintained against Trump has caused these companies to weigh virtually every narrative against the image of the current president. Though his behavior has not always been the most flattering, the extreme media bias against him contrasts nearly every mainstream representation of a president we have seen in the past.
The fact that the media has opposed Trump since before his presidency even began, and the fact that these companies have made a cultural icon out of former President Barack Obama, seems to suggest some of agenda may be in play.
In business, we know that image is everything. This also applies to politics as we have seen over the years. We know of the stereotypical politician schmoozer who talks smooth, but only has the worst intentions for his office. In other words, to a large degree in politics, image management supersedes actual substance of character. To add, we know that any given government office has a plentiful supply of political schmoozers to go around. So when we see this single solitary target of public smearing and character assassination (Trump) by corporate media, we know something is up.
The corporate media has always had the ability to call out the countless political schmoozers in Washington and in various state governments. Yet they rarely ever have. Even the questionable politicians were given a somewhat balanced representation by these media companies. However, in the case of Trump, the corporate media is an all out feeding frenzy.

Since we know how important image is in government (even for the schmoozers), and we have observed how closely knit corporate media and government are in maintaining image, we will know how rare it is to see the media and government oppose one another so visibly.

Since we know how important image is in government (even for the schmoozers), and we have observed how closely knit corporate media and government are in maintaining image, we will know how rare it is to see the media and government oppose one another so visibly.
Let's consider the analogy of our present political/media in a business situation. It is not very often that we see the marketing department of a business attacking the CEO. It is also not often that we see such attacks take place in front of the entire customer base. So why is it that within the business called the U.S.A., we see so many attacks launched by media against the CEO/president? It would seem that for the first time in decades, the president and the media are working for different "companies."
If the United States has in fact been run like a business for the past century, then why would this company favor the previous CEO—Obama—and completely disapprove of the new one. With as many problems that unfolded under Obama's watch—terrorist attacks launched by American-made shooters, non-stop police brutality, militarization, legalized murders, and the militaristic rampage which American proxy armies waged in the Middle East for eight straight years--one would think that such a media would be just as critical of one questionable character as they were the other. But they aren't.
Trump seems to have been brought out into the media spotlight to be the proverbial bad guy, while former president Obama has been paraded about as the ideal, presidential poster child. With as many horrendous atrocities which the United States led during the past two terms under Obama, the former president still comes out a spotless hero in the eyes of the corporate media.

It is possible to smear anyone. No matter what type of person they are or what the truth of any situation might be, it is completely possible to paint them in a negative light so that no one is aware of the unbiased truth. It is also possible to turn a villain into a saint by current media standards. We see all of these opportunities to smear former President Obama, yet the media chose to treat him with respect—more respect than many feel he deserved (though this is not to justify smearing of any kind).
Our current situation brings into question, "What is the true standard by which the media judges a president?" Where is the line drawn between praise and smearing for such a biased media as our current corporate establishment? It would seem that whatever that line is, it is not based upon ethics. It seems clear that the double standard of the corporate media lies in another matter entirely.

The next article comes from the website, Freedom Daily. Though it seems more bias toward the Republican perspective, it may shed light on the possibility that the allegations against former President Obama might be justified.

Ever since Trump became president, Obama has been behind the scenes doing everything he can to cause massive chaos. But setting up a shadow government and training his violent minions to take out Trump through his group Organization For Action (OFA) has just been the beginning of Obama’s subversion tactics. Over the weekend, we’ve learned that Obama secretly tapped Trump’s phone throughout the 2016 presidential election in order to spy. But unfortunately for Obama, his antics are about to blow up in a huge way after his former Secret Service agent just came forward with a huge bombshell, sure to tighten the screws even more on Obama’s self-inflicted scandal.
After retiring as a Secret Service agent where he served under both George W. Bush and Obama, Dan Bongino has become a well-known political pundit and conservative author. He’s become infamous for dropping bombshells on Obama in the past, so when news broke over the weekend about #ObamaGate, Bongino immediately jumped on social media to make some very disturbing revelations.
In addition to his predictions that Obama will soon be paying hell for his antics, Bongino also revealed some very important facts that the mainstream media is intentionally burying in order to keep their precious Obama unscathed from this latest scandal. Here’s what he had to say about #ObamaGate, where he then went on to promise that he’ll be releasing even more info later this week about Obama’s invasion of Trump’s privacy:

According to former Secret Service member Dan Bongino, it is a routine procedure to perform electronic countermeasure sweeps (ECM, for short) in order to ensure security among official communications. It is very likely that these sweeps detected the listening devices which gave rise to the allegations from the Trump administration. Here is Bongino offering his inside perspective on the situation.
Danial Bongino Destroys MSM Obama Wiretapping Coverage
While listening to Bongino's words, we may find ourselves beginning to remember the world before the American media became so heavily fixated on Donald Trump. In fact, it wasn't until Trump took office that we began to hear such consistently negative representation of the White House.
It is clear that many of the problems discussed by mainstream media existed for decades before our current juncture. Yet these problems were not acknowledged until after Obama left office.
It is completely possible to give criticism in a respectful manner. For example, we see Dan Bongino giving his criticism of the Obama administration while still giving the office the honor we have expected to see in the past. However, such respect seems foreign in our modern times of casual character attacks against the current president.

According to the corporate media, the only thing wrong with American government is Donald Trump. However, this is far from sensible. This unprofessional stance of corporate media is biased, inaccurate and irresponsible. The problems we see now have been building for the good portion of a century, yet all of this time, the corporate media has avoided and concealed the fact from the public.
We have already learned how heavily compromised the corporate media has become over the years. At present this media establishment is exclusively own by many of the same corporations that claimed themselves to be people and then stole the power of the American people away from them. Afterwards, they contorted the entire media establishment into little more than a propaganda machine designed to sell information in exchange for the minds of its audience. Consequently, none of the information we receive from this media can be considered completely objective or trustworthy.

It seems that in both media and in government, the problem is the same. That problem is the excessive compromise by corporate interests using their money to broker all of the power for themselves while keeping the American people ignorant and subservient. It seems clear that an overhaul is in order for both media and in government to clear out the excessive corporate corruption that has distorted society for so long. However, such an overhaul would require a number of conditions in order to ensure freedom was restored to the people and not further restricted.
The only way to solve our past and present issues within media and government is with complete disclosure and thorough transparency of the inner workings of both institutions. The past decades have proven to all of us that we cannot expect a free society to function with institutions that lie to us and manipulate us for their own corporate advantage. The only way to ensure that the crimes of the present and the past are not repeated is with complete accountability and forthrightness of government and media proceedings. Only in the light of truth can we begin to set right all of the issues of our time.
